The Master's Aides are crucial in helping the college run smoothly. They primarily work at the front desk in the Master's Office, where their main duties are to check out keys to students locked out of their suites, check out keys to the basement special rooms, receive and distribute packages and mail, handle some forms and purchases (trips, spirit wear, etc.), check out the Calhoun Wii and movies from the movie library, and answer student questions. Additional duties include maintaining the student kitchen, postering around campus, tending to college bulletin boards, and conducting walk-throughs of specific rooms.
Master's Aides interact significantly with the Master, the Associate Master, the Master's Administrative Assistant, and each other. They also work in the Master's house at functions like study breaks, Master's Teas and Fellows' dinners. Master's Aides also assist with the opening of the college and freshmen move-in at the beginning of the academic year and with commencement activities at the close of the academic year.
